How to Select a Chimney Pot
There are two important measurements needed to determine the chimney pot size:
- The dimension of the flue tile that exits your chimney
- The size of your fireplace.
The bottom of the chimney pot base should fit OVER your flue tile but not extend more than 3/4″ into the flue tile opening. The top opening of the chimney pot should be 1/15 to 1/20 of the size of your fireplace opening.
